Doors Open
Excluding our new books the best selling author for Scorpion Press in 2013 was Ian Rankin. All the Rankin titles issued continued to sell. These included the anthology No Alibi (1995), short story collection, Beggars Banquet (2002), the Rebus novels Fleshmarket Close (2004) and The Naming of the Dead (2006), the stand alone art deception novel Doors Open (2008), and the more recent return of Rebus novel Standing on Another Man’s Grave (2012). Stock of many of these earlier titles are just a few copies.
Two other earlier Ian Rankin books issued by the Scorpion Press were sold out or so low in stock they were taken off the website. The Hanging Garden (1998) sold out on publication and is now a rarity. And A Question of Blood (2003) was down to just one copy!
