<\/a>George Macdonald Fraser created one of the great English fictional characters with Flashy or Harry Flashman. \u00a0This is the original first edition issued by Barrie & Jenkins entitled Flashman’s First Omnibus<\/em><\/strong> (1979). \u00a0Forty years on Scorpion Press is producing a leather bound rebinding of the omnibus edition.<\/p>\n

The book comprises Flashman, Royal Flash<\/em> and Flashman for Freedom!<\/em>\u00a0 \u00a0These early books are virtually impossible to find in fine condition. The Omnibus edition was issued with better quality paper – it therefore makes it a better choice for rebinding.<\/p>\n

Our previous Flashmans were Flashman and the Angel of the Lord<\/em> (1994) Flashman on the March<\/em> (2005). These sold very well indeed.<\/p>\n

The new book will have a maroon leather spine with five raised bands, green top edge and marbled sides over boards. \u00a0It will have an author profile page (which we have sent to friends such as Peter Lovesey to check) and it will have the author facsimile autograph. Twelve lettered copies are being produced for later this year. \u00a0The expected price is $300.<\/p>\n
